Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Lithuania Description

  • To visit Lithuania for tourism or spend some time with a family member or friend, you need a tourist visa.
  • First, the visa applicant must download and fill the visa application form completely and accurately.
  • Make sure your passport is valid for at least three (3) months after the end of your intended travel and that it has been issued no later than ten (10) years ago.
  • The best time to apply for your Lithuania visa is 1-2 months before your travel date.
  • Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. The Lithuania visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages.
  • The visa processing fee must be paid in cash upon application. Some embassies accept bank transfers.
  • Anybody planning to travel to Lithuania should do the following:
    • Download the visa application form (see what it looks like HERE)
    • Fill this form completely and with all sincerity. You can also fill the Lithuania Schengen Visa application form electronically and then print a hard-copy.
    • Attach 2 photos — the photo should be passport size, recent with whole face showing and taken in a white background.
    • Submit your passport and copies of your previous visas — valid for at least 3 months beyond return date. Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
    • Provide a copy of your return-ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa – if not otherwise required.
    • Secure an European travel medical insurance of a minimum of €30,000 which has coverage within Lithuania and the entire Schengen area.
    • Provide a cover letter stating the purpose of your visit to Lithuania
    • Confirm a flight reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Lithuania.
  • As a proof of accommodation while in the country, you will need to secure a hotel reservation for the whole duration of your intended stay in Lithuania.
  • You will need to provide proof of your civil status in the form of a marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, or ration card, if applicable.
  • To show you have the financial capacity to stay in Lithuania, you will have to provide proof of sufficient financial means for the period of your stay in Lithuania.
  • A foreign national who wants to enter the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, while applying for a Lithuanian Visa it needs to attest to the Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate possession of €40/day.
  • The processing fee for a Lithuania visa is $68.

Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Lithuania Requirements

  • Fully completed and signed visa application form
  • Two recently taken photos. Both photos must be taken within the last three months and must follow all visa photo requirements.
  • A valid passport which is not older than 10 years. It should be valid for at least three more months beyond the date you plan to leave Lithuania.
  • A round trip reservation or itinerary. This must include dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Lithuania.
  • A travel insurance policy. A document that proves you have travel health insurance for the whole Schengen territory, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros in case of any medical emergency as illnesses, accidents and even repatriation in case of death.
  • Proof of accommodation. A document that shows where you will be accommodated throughout your stay in Lithuania.
  • Proof of financial means. Evidence that you have enough money to support yourself financially throughout your stay in the country. This can be one of the following:
      • Bank account statement – that shows you have enough money in your account for the trip. The statement shall be no older than 3 months.
      • Sponsorship Letter – by another person that confirms they will be financially supporting your trip to Lithuania. In order for this letter to be valid, it must be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor, no older than three months.
  • Proof of paid visa fee.  €60 for adults and €35 for children from 6 to 12 years old.
