A medical certificate issued by the treating medical institution in Nigeria detailing the nature of the applicant’s illness and the reason treatment will be best gotten in Germany is required.
A written confirmation of the applicant’s appointment with the medical doctor in Germany should be provided.
The estimated duration of the treatment of the applicant’s illness should be stated in the letter from the medical doctor in Germany.
Proof of advance payment of the medical fee is required.
Applicants with incomplete applications will be refused this visa.
If the applicant is employed, a letter from the applicant’s employer is required. The letter should introduce the applicant and state confirmation of leave.
Visa applications of minors are possible only if accompanied by a person entitled to custody.
Minors are expected to present a copy of their birth certificate during the visa application process. A consent letter from both parents is also required.
